Artist. Designer. Tattooer.

Creator.

Hi. I am Jenny Pokryvailo. An artist, industrial designer, tattooer, and illustrator. A curious and inquisitive creator.

My unique career path transitions from industrial design of mass produced physical products to a full time tattoo artist and illustrator.

I believe in a design that is definitive in its appearance and has a clear statement, which I achieve through a strict monochromatic palette. I discover every time anew the magical ability of black and white to capture the pure essence of things.

Many years of designing and drawing experience lead me to create a significant artistic style that is often connects elements of nature with the mythological and spiritual realms, exploring the relationship between shapes, materials and textures - curves vs lines, soft vs solid, flow vs steadiness, feminine vs masculine - in the search of harmonious compositions that express the movement of energy, enhanced by high contrast and clear boundaries, creating unique and surreal compositions.

My art embodies serenity and knowing, expressing a deep connection to realms beyond the visible. Through simple yet evocative subjects, I depict spiritual narratives inspired by the unseen forces that shape our universe—the subtle flow of energy, the mystical experience, the connection to source.

My graphic style has evolved along my ability to perceive the world as frequency, energy, and vibration. In these textures, I see entire worlds of particles sustaining themselves, forming intricate landscapes of imagery.

For me, creation is an ever-evolving meditative process that allows me to explore and express the intricate patterns of the mind and heart.

My process

My illustration process begins with a rough and free-flowing sketch, where I explore the proportions and natural movement of elements. At this stage, the lines remain loose and expressive, allowing the composition to take shape organically.
As the structure becomes clearer, I refine the sketch, focusing on the balance of forms, relationships between elements, and overall composition. Once the foundation is set, I begin contouring the shapes, then mapping the tones with my stippling brushes, carefully defining areas of light and shadow to build depth and texture. Throughout this process, I ensure that every detail contributes to the final piece, making subtle adjustments to the proportions and weight of elements until the artwork reaches its most harmonious and intentional form.
